Interestingly I’ve found some research that examined this plant’s effect on wound healing. Although I’ve seen no studies specifically relating to Calendula officinalis’ effect on hair growth, its role in wound healing may be important because some of the world’s most promising hair loss treatments involve wound-induced hair follicle neogenesis. Therefore int’s interesting to me to see this plant extract may be beneficial in the wound healing process. And since the study also highlighted improve inflammation reduction resulting from use of the plant extract, this may be another benefit in terms of reduced hair loss — since most hair loss seems to involve inflammation in some way.
